The PREVENT® RJG hi-vis rain jacket is built for anyone working outdoors in wind and rain who also needs to stay visible on site. It suits construction work, road building, logistics and any job where weather protection and high-visibility colour both matter. The hood comes with a collar and drawcord, so it can be adjusted to keep rain and wind out even when turning the head.
The jacket is made from 100% polyester with a 130 g/m² PU coating. That coating is what makes the fabric windproof and waterproof, while still keeping it light and flexible rather than stiff. The seams are welded rather than stitched, which stops water seeping in through needle holes – a detail that matters during long spells of rain. Both side pockets and the front zip are covered with press-stud flaps, keeping water out at these points too.
The jacket meets EN 343, the standard for protection against rain and weather, and falls under PPE category II. Visibility comes from 2 x 5 cm reflective stripes running all round the body and sleeves, plus additional shoulder stripes that help wearers stand out in poor light. The RJG is available in sizes 5XL to 4XL, covering a wide range of builds.
