The PREVENT® hi-vis pilot jacket 174ZO is built for anyone working outdoors in changing weather who also needs to be seen. Combining a warm lining, detachable sleeves and a hood built into the collar, it adapts to different weather conditions and seasons without needing a second jacket for milder days. Two chest pockets, side pockets, a sleeve pocket and an inner pocket keep tools, phone and documents close at hand and properly stored.
The jacket is made from 100% polyester with a PU coating, and all seams are welded rather than sewn. That makes it water- and wind-resistant right from the construction, since there are no needle holes to let moisture through. The fleece lining, including the collar, can be removed together with the sleeves, turning the winter jacket into a lighter vest when conditions call for it. Press studs at the cuffs let you adjust how snugly the sleeves sit, which is handy when temperatures shift during the day.
The jacket is certified to EN 343, the standard for protective clothing against rain and poor weather. It confirms that the fabric and seams genuinely hold up against water and wind, backing up what the welded construction already suggests. Additional visibility comes from the 3M reflective tape running around the body and sleeves, keeping the wearer visible in low light and poor conditions.
This makes the 174ZO a solid choice for road work, logistics, construction sites and any outdoor job where wet, cold weather and visibility both matter.
