This multinorm sweatshirt jacket from Blåkläder does more than most sweatshirts: it can be worn as a jacket and combines several protective functions in one garment. It's designed for tradespeople, electricians and service staff who face risks from heat, arc flash or poor visibility on the job. The high collar can be turned up for extra protection around the neck, while the concealed front zip keeps the front smooth and free of snag points.
The jacket is knitted from a blend of modacrylic, cotton and an antistatic fibre, with a soft brushed terry knit on the inside. That combination keeps the garment comfortable to wear rather than stiff, so it holds up well through long shifts. Side panels give it an ergonomic fit that supports freedom of movement on site, and because the entire jacket is metal-free, it's particularly suited to environments where metal components would be a hazard, such as electrical work.
Protection is backed by a wide set of standards: EN ISO 11612 covers resistance to heat and flame, while EN 61482-2 addresses the risks of electric arc exposure, with rated values of 13 cal/cm² (EBT) and 12 cal/cm² (ELIM). EN 1149-5 confirms the antistatic properties, relevant in environments where electrostatic discharge poses an explosion risk.
