This sweatshirt is built for jobs where several hazards overlap at once: heat, arc flash, static build-up and poor visibility. Electricians, road and construction workers, and service technicians get one garment that covers all of these risks instead of layering multiple protective pieces. It's available in a men's fit as well as the women's model 3471.
The fabric blends FR polyester, modacrylic, cotton and an antistatic fibre, making the flame resistance inherent - built into the fibre itself rather than a coating that wears off over time. The brushed inside keeps the feel soft against the skin despite the technical construction, and the 330 g/m² knit gives it enough substance without unnecessary bulk. Dark colour panels in areas prone to dirt keep the garment looking presentable through a working day, and the concealed plastic zip is fully metal-free, which matters on sites where metal on the body isn't allowed.
On the protection side, the jacket covers several standards at once: EN ISO 11612 addresses protection against heat and flame, EN 61482-2 (APC 1) certifies protection against the effects of an electric arc, and EN 1149-5 provides antistatic discharge, which is critical in environments where static build-up is a hazard. It also meets the high-visibility requirements of EN ISO 20471 - class 2 in sizes XS to M and class 3 from size L upward, backed by segmented reflective tape that stays visible during movement.
That combination makes it a strong fit for workplaces with elevated electrical or heat exposure, such as utility and energy work, road construction, or maintenance and service roles where staying visible in traffic adds an extra layer of safety.
