These flame-retardant bib overalls from Blaklader are designed for tradespeople, electricians and welders who depend on their protective clothing every day. With numerous pockets for tools, a folding rule and pens, plus internal knee pad pockets, they are built for life on site and in the workshop, while reflective details on the legs, front and back improve visibility.
The fabric is a sturdy twill weave made from 85% cotton, 14% polyester and 1% antistatic fibre, weighing 350 g/m². That combination gives you a hard-wearing garment that still feels comfortable to wear all day, and according to the manufacturer it is also suitable for industrial laundering to EN ISO 15797. The water- and dirt-repellent finish keeps the overalls cleaner and drier for longer, achieved without the use of PFAS.
The overalls carry several certifications that together cover a range of workplace hazards: EN ISO 11612 confirms protection against heat and flame, EN ISO 11611 covers welding protection, and EN 13034 provides limited protection against chemical splashes. The antistatic properties to EN 1149-5 prevent static build-up on the wearer, which matters in environments with explosion risk. The fabric is also rated to ATPV 16.0 cal/cm² under IEC/EN 61482-1-1, relevant for work involving arc flash hazards, and when paired with the specified knee pads the overalls also meet EN 14404.
This makes the overalls a strong choice for electricians, welders and industrial workers facing combined hazards where a single protection standard would not be enough.
