This multi-norm jacket from Blaklader is designed for anyone working across shifting hazard zones: welders, electricians, and road or construction crews will find a jacket that combines several protective functions in a single garment. Its flame-retardant properties aren't a surface treatment but are built directly into the fibre structure, so the protection lasts for the working life of the jacket. Finished in high-vis orange with navy, it doubles as high-visibility workwear for jobs where being seen matters just as much as being protected.
The fabric blend of FR polyester, modacrylic, cotton and an antistatic fibre gives the jacket a sturdy yet comparatively light feel at 315 g/m². A water- and dirt-repellent surface helps it shrug off daily grime, and darker panels placed in exposed areas keep the jacket looking presentable for longer. Pre-shaped sleeves, an extended back and an adjustable hem with hook-and-loop fastening keep the fit close even when you're moving, while thoughtfully placed pockets and loops for a gas detector, oxygen meter or microphone make it genuinely practical on site. The jacket is entirely metal-free and rated for industrial laundering at 60°C, which makes it a realistic choice for regular professional use.
On the protection side, this jacket covers considerable ground: EN ISO 11611 covers welding and related processes, EN ISO 11612 protects against heat and flame, EN 61482-2 addresses the risks of an electric arc, and EN 13034 protects against contact with liquid chemicals.
