Product information "Multinorm Jacket Inherent APC 2"
The Multinorm Jacket Inherent APC 2 from Blaklader is made for anyone facing shifting hazards on the job without wanting to rely on several specialist jackets: electricians, road and construction workers, service technicians, and people working in oil and gas. One jacket covers protection against heat, flames, electric arcs, and chemical splashes, while doubling as certified high-visibility workwear.
The outer fabric is inherently flame-resistant, meaning the protection is built into the fibre rather than just coated on, and it stays soft, flexible, and comfortably robust at 315 g/m². A lightweight inner lining adds comfort without unnecessary bulk, while the water- and dirt-repellent outer surface keeps the jacket practical on site. Because the jacket is entirely metal-free, using plastic snap fasteners instead, it's also suited to ATEX-classified environments where any metal component would be a risk.
Certification includes EN ISO 11611 for welding work, EN ISO 11612 against heat and flames, and EN 1149 for antistatic protection. Under IEC 61482-2 the jacket reaches arc protection class APC 2, the higher of the two levels against the thermal hazards of electric arc flashes. EN 13034 confirms protection against liquid chemicals, and EN ISO 20471 classifies the jacket as high-visibility clothing, rated class 2 or 3 in orange depending on size. OEKO-TEX Standard 100 confirms the fabric has been tested for harmful substances.
Practical features such as chest pockets on both sides with concealed zips, loops for a gas detector or microphone on the chest, and a high collar with a concealed zip make the jacket suited to daily use on construction sites, in plant maintenance, or in electrical service work. A women's version is also available under item number 40841524.
