Product information "Multinorm Jacket Inherent"
This multi-norm jacket from Blaklader is built for anyone working on construction sites, in road works or as an electrician who faces more than one hazard at a time. Finished in hi-vis orange, it combines visibility with flame protection in a garment that stays surprisingly light despite everything it packs in. Articulated sleeves, an extended back and an adjustable hem keep the jacket in place during movement or bending, while a generous set of pockets, including a chest pocket with D-ring and loops for a gas detector or microphone, keep tools and equipment within easy reach on the job.
The fabric blends Modacrylic, FR viscose, polyester, cotton and aramid with a small antistatic content, woven as a double-layer construction. Its flame resistance is inherent to the fibres themselves rather than applied as a coating, so the protection doesn't wash or wear out over the jacket's lifetime. At 310 g/m², the fabric stays comfortable to wear, the water- and dirt-repellent surface keeps it looking presentable on site, and the metal-free build with concealed plastic snap fasteners and zipper makes it a sound choice for work near live electrical equipment.
The jacket covers several protection categories at once: EN ISO 11612 certifies protection against heat and flame, EN ISO 11611 covers hazards from welding work, and certification to IEC 61482-2 makes it suitable for tasks with arc flash risk. EN 13034 provides limited protection against chemical splashes, and EN 1149-5 gives it antistatic properties useful around explosive atmospheres. Under EN ISO 20471, visibility class varies by size, from Class 2 in the smaller sizes to Class 3 from size M upward, and can be raised to Class 3 across all sizes by pairing it with matching trousers from the Blaklader range.
That makes it a strong fit for electricians, road and construction workers and service technicians who need to stay visible and protected while facing several risks on the same job.
