Product information "Multinorm Jacket Inherent APC 2"
The Multinorm Jacket Inherent APC 2 from Blaklader is designed for tradespeople, electricians and service technicians who work in environments with multiple hazards at once. The metal-free garment with plastic components combines arc flash protection with high-visibility certification and several other protective functions in a single jacket, so there is no need to switch between different garments for different tasks.
The fabric blend of modacrylic, cotton, FR polyamide and aramid with an antistatic fibre component feels soft and flexible despite standing up to demanding conditions. The ripstop fabric at 260 g/m² together with the thin inner lining keeps the jacket comfortable to wear during long shifts without compromising on durability. A water- and dirt-repellent surface keeps the fabric usable for longer, and the PFAS-free treatment means no environmentally persistent fluorochemicals are used.
The certifications cover a wide range of hazards: EN 61482-2 with arc protection class APC 2 protects against the effects of an electric arc flash, EN ISO 11612 against heat and flames, EN ISO 11611 for welding work, EN 13034 against limited contact with chemicals, and EN 1149-5 through the antistatic finish. The jacket is also certified as high-visibility workwear under EN ISO 20471, with the class ranging from Class 2 to Class 3 depending on size – contrasting shoulder panels and flame-resistant reflective tape with double stitching help maintain visibility.
Practical details such as double chest pockets with covered zippers, loops for a gas detector or microphone, and the extended back make this jacket a reliable choice in electrical, industrial and service settings where several hazards can occur at the same time.
