The Steelite Lusum is a safety trainer with a modern, sporty look, built around a wire lacing system that sets it apart from traditional lace-up safety boots. Instead of tying laces, the shoe closes and releases with a quick-lace mechanism, making it fast to put on and take off while still delivering an even, supportive fit that adapts to different foot shapes. A rear pull tab makes stepping in even easier.
The upper, made from premium full-grain leather and suede or cattle suede leather, has been chosen specifically for areas exposed to heavy abrasion, giving the shoe genuine durability in daily use. The toe area is additionally reinforced with leather, strengthening the shoe exactly where wear is greatest. An improved tread pattern on the outsole provides better traction on uneven ground.
On the protection side, the Steelite Lusum meets the S1P HRO standard: a steel toe cap guards against impact, a penetration-resistant steel midsole protects against sharp objects underfoot, and the outsole is heat-resistant up to 300 °C. It is also fuel and oil resistant and tested to SRC for slip resistance, which matters particularly on ceramic and steel surfaces. The shoe is antistatic, includes an energy-absorbing heel area, and its nickel- and iron-free construction makes it non-magnetic. A dual-density sole plus CE certification and UKCA marking complete the safety package.
