The Portwest Compositelite Spey is a low-cut S1P safety trainer built for anyone on site, in the warehouse or on the production floor who wants a lightweight, fully non-metallic shoe. Instead of a steel toe cap, a fibreglass toe cap protects the feet, paired with a composite midsole - shedding weight without cutting back on protection.
The KPU and mesh upper is directly injected with a KPU cage, giving the shoe structural strength while keeping it light and flexible underfoot. The toe cap gets extra reinforcement from a leather overlay, shielding the area that takes the most daily wear. The dual-density EVA and rubber outsole delivers a springy, comfortable ride, and the improved tread pattern keeps grip solid even on uneven ground.
As an S1P-rated shoe, the Spey protects the toes against impact and compression, adds a puncture-resistant composite midsole against sharp objects underfoot, and includes an energy-absorbing heel that eases the strain on joints with every step. It's also antistatic, resistant to fuel and oil, and slip-resistant, and being metal-free, it's completely nickel-, iron- and magnetic-free - a real plus in environments sensitive to metal or subject to security screening. The shoe is CE certified and available in sizes 37 to 48 in orange/black.
