The Tyvek® Apx™ 400 protective coverall is built for anyone who needs dependable disposable protection against particles, splashes or biological hazards. Its broad protection profile covers several risk scenarios at once, making it a solid choice for demanding work environments where a basic coverall simply isn't enough.
The Tyvek® APX™ 400 outer material is tough yet noticeably lightweight, so the suit stays comfortable even during longer wear. High breathability helps prevent heat build-up underneath, which makes a real difference during physical work or in warm settings. Bound seams on the outside, a three-piece hood with elastic, thumb loops made from Tyvek® material, and elasticated cuffs, ankles and waist all combine for an ergonomic fit that holds up even with movement. The covered zip with pin-lock slider closes securely without breaking the protective barrier at that point.
As Category 3 PPE, the suit is designed to guard against irreversible health damage. It is particle-tight to EN ISO 13982-1 (Type 5) and offers limited splash protection to EN 13034 (Type 6), covering both fine dust and liquid splashes. EN 1073-2 adds protection against contamination from radioactive particles, while EN 14126 certifies it as blood and virus tight, making it suitable for biological hazard work too. The antistatic finish on both sides, certified to EN 1149-5, reduces the risk of electrostatic discharge, which matters especially around combustible dusts or gases.
This makes the coverall well suited to the chemical industry, hazardous substance handling, asbestos removal, and medical or laboratory settings, as well as any job where multiple hazards overlap. It is supplied in packs of 25, which simplifies stocking for regular operational use.
