Product information "Protective Suit Tychem 2000 C"
The Tychem® 2000 C protective suit is built for situations where comprehensive protection against chemicals and biological hazards is essential. It suits users in industry, hazmat response, decontamination or medical settings who need a reliably high and versatile barrier performance. The yellow colour also makes wearers easy to spot on site.
The outer material is the Tyvek® substrate with polymer coating, a lightweight yet robust polyethylene fabric. In daily use this combines strong protection with genuine wearing comfort, without the stiffness or bulk of heavier suits. The seams are sewn and additionally heat-sealed with barrier tape, giving them the same protective performance as the material itself – closing a weak point that simpler suits often have. A hood with elastic, a tight-fitting mask interface, double self-adhesive zipper and chin covers, plus elasticated cuffs, ankles and waist keep the suit securely in place during movement. Thumb loops also stop the sleeves from riding up.
Protection is confirmed across several standards: as PPE Category 3, Type 3-B/4-B/5-B/6-B, the suit meets multiple requirements at once. Under EN 14605 it is liquid-tight (Type 3) and spray-tight (Type 4), under EN ISO 13982-1 particle-tight (Type 5), and under EN 13034 it offers limited splash protection (Type 6) – in practice this covers liquids, fine sprays and particles at different intensities. EN 1073-2 confirms protection against radioactive particles, EN 14126 confirms resistance to blood and viruses, and EN 1149-5 gives the inner material antistatic properties. The suit is also liquid-tight up to 2 bar and fully particle-tight.
This makes the Tychem® 2000 C suitable for anyone who may come into contact with concentrated inorganic chemicals, infectious agents or radioactive particles, such as in the chemical industry, disaster response, remediation work or medical and laboratory environments. It is supplied as bulk packaging with a pack size of 25 units, making it practical for regular commercial use.
