The Tyvek® 500HV combines high-visibility protection with chemical protective clothing in a single disposable coverall. It is designed for anyone who needs to be seen in hazardous work zones while also being protected from particles, splashes and biological hazards, without having to layer two separate garments. The suit can replace reusable hi-vis workwear or be worn over it, depending on the task at hand.
The outer material is 100 percent polyethylene in the form of Tyvek®, a fabric that feels light and supple while remaining tear-resistant. Its air and water vapour permeability means the suit can be worn for extended periods without heat building up underneath. The self-sealing zip with its protective flap and large, easy-grip pull tab can be operated even while wearing gloves, and the stand-up collar, generously cut crotch gusset, and elasticated waist, leg and sleeve cuffs give a fit that allows freedom of movement rather than restricting it. The stitched, taped seams on the outside further improve resistance against liquid spray. Since the suit is designed for single use, there is no washing or inspection to worry about.
The fluorescent orange finish meets the highest visibility class, Class 3 under EN ISO 20471, keeping wearers clearly visible even in poor light. As a Type 5-B/6-B garment, the suit is particle-tight against solid substances (EN ISO 13982-1) and offers limited protection against liquid chemical splashes (EN 13034). EN 1073-2 confirms protection against radioactive particles, EN 14126 covers resistance to blood and infective agents, and the antistatic treatment under EN 1149-5 helps prevent hazardous electrostatic build-up. Together, these standards give the suit broad protective coverage in a single layer.
The Tyvek® 500HV is suited to any job where visibility and chemical protection are needed at the same time, such as roadside work, industrial tasks, remediation and cleaning work, or handling biological hazards. Supplied in packs of 25, it suits regular commercial and industrial use.
