The Tychem® 6000 F protective coverall is a disposable chemical protection suit designed for situations where contact with hazardous substances or biological agents is a real risk. It suits industrial, laboratory, remediation and hazmat professionals who need a dependable barrier between their body and their working environment. Available in grey, in sizes M to 3XL, the suit is supplied in packs of 25, making it easy to plan for regular consumption in a business setting.
The outer material is a four-layer Tyvek® substrate with a polyethylene-based polymer coating. This combination gives the suit strong chemical resistance while keeping it light and comfortable to wear, without restricting freedom of movement. Seams are sewn and additionally heat-sealed with barrier tape, giving them the same protective performance as the fabric itself. A hood with elastic, a tight-fitting mask interface, a double self-adhesive zipper and chin flap, plus elasticated cuffs, ankles and waist all help the suit stay securely in place throughout the working day. Thumb loops keep the sleeves from riding up during use.
The suit meets PPE Category III and Types 3-B, 4-B, 5-B and 6-B. In practical terms, this means liquid-tight protection to EN 14605 (Type 3), spray-tight protection to EN 14605 (Type 4), particle-tight protection to EN ISO 13982-1 (Type 5) and limited splash protection to EN 13034 (Type 6). EN 1073-2 adds protection against radioactive particulate contamination, EN 14126 confirms resistance to blood and viruses, and the inner material is antistatic to EN 1149-5. Together, these standards cover a wide range of hazards, from organic and highly concentrated inorganic chemicals to infectious agents.
Typical fields of use include the chemical and petrochemical industry, pest control, asbestos and hazardous waste remediation, healthcare settings, and disaster response or decontamination work, wherever high protection needs to go hand in hand with practical everyday handling.
