The Tychem® 4000 S protective coverall is built for anyone who needs reliable full-body protection when working with hazardous chemicals, biological agents or contaminated environments – think industrial settings, laboratories, remediation work or hazmat response. With its hood, double-sleeve system and thumb loops, it is designed to work smoothly alongside gloves and other protective gear.
The Tychem® SL outer material is engineered for strong barrier performance while still remaining wearable over longer shifts. Seams are not just sewn but additionally heat-sealed with barrier tape, giving them the same protective performance as the fabric itself – closing off a common weak point of disposable coveralls. Elasticated hood, cuffs, ankles and an integrated waist elastic help the suit sit close to the body, keeping chemicals and particles out. The double zip with double flap even allows repeated use, provided the suit has not been contaminated.
In terms of protection, the coverall covers a wide range: it is liquid-tight (type 3), spray-tight (type 4), particle-tight (type 5) and offers limited splash protection (type 6), each in line with EN 14605, EN ISO 13982-1 and EN 13034. It also provides protection against radioactive particle contamination under EN 1073-2, antistatic properties on the inner material under EN 1149-5, and resistance to blood and pathogens under EN 14126 – relevant wherever biological hazards are also present. As category 3 PPE, it is intended to guard against serious, irreversible health risks.
The Tychem® 4000 S is supplied as pack goods with a minimum order of 20 pieces per size, making it a practical choice for trade buyers who need reliable quantities for industrial, craft or emergency response use.
