This bib overall from Blaklader's Inherent range is built for electricians and tradespeople who need protective workwear they can rely on without feeling restricted on site. It is completely metal-free, using plastic buttons, zippers and buckles instead, which matters when working around electrical hazards or in explosive environments.
The fabric blends Modacrylic, cotton, FR polyamide, aramid and an antistatic fibre, weighing in at 260 g/m². Its ripstop construction resists tearing while staying soft and comfortable to wear all day. The surface is water- and dirt-repellent, which cuts down on how often it needs attention during heavy use. Pre-shaped knees and knee pad pockets that open from below keep the fit intact even when kneeling for long stretches. Adjustable braces with elastic, a button-adjustable waist and adjustable ankle width let the fit be tailored to the wearer, while the range of pockets keeps tools and ID close at hand.
The overall carries several certifications that together cover a wide range of hazards on site. EN ISO 11612 confirms protection against heat and flame, EN ISO 11611 covers welding work, EN 61482-2 addresses protection against the thermal effects of an electric arc, and EN 13034 provides limited protection against certain chemicals. EN 1149-5 confirms antistatic properties, relevant anywhere electrostatic build-up poses a risk. The garment is also tested and approved for industrial laundering to EN 15797, rated for up to 50 wash cycles, making it a practical choice for companies with their own laundry processes.
