The Hi-Vis 2-in-1 Softshell Jacket is a convertible hi-vis garment for anyone working outdoors in changeable weather who needs both a jacket and a vest without carrying two separate items. With the sleeves attached it gives full protection against rain and wind, and once the sleeves are zipped off, the remaining vest still works as a standalone piece of protective clothing – ideal for wearers who move between different conditions throughout the day.
The three-layer fabric is hard-wearing, breathable, windproof and water-repellent all at once, so moisture beads off the surface instead of soaking in. The micro polar fleece lining, finished with welded rather than stitched seams, keeps the jacket comfortable to wear while stopping water from creeping in through needle holes. Waterproof zips reinforce this further, and the hook-and-loop cuff fastenings keep sleeves secure without letting draughts in.
For visibility, the jacket is certified to EN ISO 20471, including after 50 washes, so the reflective tape and hi-vis colour stay effective over the working life of the garment. In orange it also meets RIS 3279-TOM, the standard for the rail industry, making it suitable for trackside work. The fabric additionally carries a UPF 40+ rating and blocks 98% of UV rays, which makes a real difference during long shifts outdoors.
With four pockets, including an inner storage pocket and a dedicated phone pocket, plus a radio loop, the jacket is built for daily use in road work, rail, groundworks and general construction, where visibility, weather protection and practical storage all matter equally.
