The ES1 Essential Hi-Vis Winter Pilot Jacket is built for anyone working outdoors in cold, wet conditions who still wants a genuinely comfortable fit. The full front zip with a stud-fastened storm flap, knitted storm cuffs and elasticated side waistband keep the jacket sitting securely even during active work, without restricting movement.
The construction is geared towards demanding winter use. Seams are fully taped to keep water out, and the fabric carries a PFAS-free Texpel Splash Eco finish that makes rain simply bead off the surface. Inside, full lining and padding trap warmth effectively, while the fleece-lined collar adds an extra layer of comfort around the neck. Four pockets, an inner chest pocket and a concealed phone pocket give plenty of storage, and the stowable hood tucks away neatly when not needed.
On the protection side, the jacket covers several bases at once. It's certified to EN342 for cold protection down to -40°C, making it a dependable choice for outdoor work in severe winter conditions. Its EN ISO 20471 certification remains valid after 50 washes, so visibility from the reflective tape holds up over the jacket's working life. The fabric is also rated UPF 40+, blocking 98% of UV rays, and the taped seams help protect the body against biological hazards.
