This transfer from Blaklader is not a knee pad itself but a flame-resistant reinforcement patch applied directly onto the knee pad pockets of work trousers, extending the lifespan of both the pockets and the garment as a whole. It is designed for anyone who spends most of the working day on their knees, exactly the spot where wear and tear hits hardest.
The material is built for flame resistance and functions as an accessory component for flame-resistant workwear. It is fitted by heat transfer under specific conditions of 160 to 190 degrees Celsius, 5 to 6 bar of pressure and 30 seconds of application time, which bonds the patch firmly and evenly into the fabric rather than simply sticking it on the surface. Measuring 16 by 23 centimetres, it covers the typical stress zones at the knee and is supplied in pairs, so both trouser legs can be reinforced equally.
This reinforcement transfer is particularly relevant for tradespeople, road and construction workers, and service technicians whose jobs regularly involve kneeling, such as flooring work, installation tasks or roadworks. Being unisex and available in black in a one-size format, it can be applied straightforwardly to existing flame-resistant trousers with knee pad pockets, helping protect the investment already made in the actual protective garment.
