The teXXor® VANCOUVER hi-vis pilot jacket is built for anyone working outdoors in changing weather who also needs to be clearly seen. Designed as a versatile pilot jacket, it features zip-off sleeves and a removable fleece inner vest, turning one garment into several options depending on the conditions, from a light vest to a fully equipped winter jacket.
The outer fabric is polyester with a polyurethane coating, paired with a polyamide contrast fabric that is also PU-coated, giving the jacket a tough yet weatherproof shell. The polyester lining and the fleece inner vest add warmth, while knitted cuffs at the hem, adjustable elasticated cuffs, and a waterproof hood with drawcord in the collar keep the jacket close to the body in wind and rain, stopping moisture from getting in. The fleece collar rounds off the comfort.
On the protection side, the jacket covers several requirements at once: EN ISO 13688 sets out the general basic requirements for protective clothing, EN 343 confirms wind and water resistance, and EN ISO 20471 certifies high visibility thanks to the roughly 5 cm wide reflective strips running around the body and sleeves. According to the manufacturer, the brightness stays unchanged even after 5 wash cycles, so the warning effect holds up over the garment's working life. The jacket falls under PPE category II.
