The Expertbase safety helmet with ratchet adjustment is one of our best-selling head protection models, designed for anyone who needs a dependable helmet for daily site work. The ratchet wheel system allows the headband to be adjusted smoothly between 55 and 62 cm, so the helmet can be fitted to different head sizes without any tools.
The shell is made from high-density polypropylene and is deliberately unvented, which matters for safe use in electrical applications. A 4-point textile harness keeps the helmet securely and evenly in place, improving comfort during long shifts, while the soft sweatband included as standard makes it more pleasant to wear in warm conditions. Spare parts are available, so the helmet can be kept in service and maintained over its full working life.
Thanks to its closed shell design, the Expertbase provides electrical insulation up to 1000Vac or 1500Vdc to EN 50365, and is additionally rated for electrical properties up to 440Vac. That makes it suitable for tasks where contact with live parts cannot be ruled out. The helmet is CE certified under Category III, UKCA marked, and can be used for up to seven years from the date of manufacture provided it remains undamaged. It also accepts the compatible PW42 ear defenders, making it a practical choice for noisy environments where electrical insulation is also required. Available in white and yellow.
