The PS90 is a face shield designed for work on electrical installations where arc flash is a risk. It's built for electricians and anyone using safety helmets fitted with a slotted cap mount who needs reliable, clear face protection on the job. The visor is compatible with all Portwest safety helmets, though it's best paired with helmets rated for the arc flash protection level expected on site.
The clear visor is designed for maximum light transmission and, in line with EN 170, offers improved colour recognition. In practice that means a clear, undistorted view of your work, which matters when identifying cables and markings by colour. The universal slot-in adapter makes it easy to fit onto the slotted cap, while the down position allows for intermittent use whenever the face shield isn't needed.
Rated to GS-ET-29 and E DIN 58118 as arc flash protection class 1 with VLT class 0, the PS90 protects against arc flash events up to 4 kA. In practical terms, that means the visor shields the face and eyes from the sudden heat and light of an arc flash incident. As a CE-certified Category III product, it's intended for use with non-vented Category III helmets, making it suited to demanding protection requirements in electrical work.
