The TECLHMR01 multi-standard bib and brace trousers from Mauser are built for anyone facing thermal hazards from electric arc flashes on the job. Designed as bib and brace overalls with a well-thought-out pocket layout – a bib pocket with concealed zip, a ruler pocket, a rear pocket with flap and two side pockets – they offer plenty of room for tools and small items without compromising on protective performance. Straps made from the same fabric, fitted with an elastic insert and plastic buckles, keep the fit flexible and comfortable throughout a full shift.
The fabric is made from 54% modacrylic, 45% cotton and a small share of antistatic fibre, finished with an FC treatment at a weight of 320 g/m². This blend results in a fabric that is tough yet comfortable to wear, staying flexible rather than stiff even over long working hours. The antistatic fibre helps reduce static build-up on the job, a practical benefit in environments where that matters.
The trousers are certified to IEC 61482, a standard covering protective clothing against the thermal hazards of an electric arc, relevant for work around live electrical equipment. As PPE Category III, they fall into the highest protection class of personal protective equipment, reserved for hazards that can cause irreversible harm. Reflective strips are integrated to improve visibility in low-light conditions.
