The Blaklader High Vis Softshell Jacket is designed as a year-round hi-vis layer that works either as a standalone outer jacket or as a mid-layer underneath, depending on the weather. The high collar and extended cuffs with thumb loops seal out draughts, while the elasticated hem at the waist keeps the fit close and comfortable. It suits anyone who works outdoors in changing conditions and needs to stay visible throughout the day.
The jacket is made from a double-knit interlock fabric, 100% polyester at 290g/m², built as a two-layer softshell that is windproof, water-repellent and breathable. In practice that means a fabric that feels sturdy without being stiff, moves well during physical work, and keeps moisture from becoming an issue on the inside. All pockets, including the chest pockets and front hand pockets, are secured with zips, and the jacket closes with a heavy-duty plastic zip backed by an internal wind flap.
Certification to EN ISO 20471 Class 3 marks it as the highest visibility class under this standard, meaning it carries a particularly large area of fluorescent and reflective material, reinforced here with 50mm wide transfer reflective tape for visibility from a distance in low light. The orange versions additionally meet RIS-3279-TOM Issue 2 for Class 2 and 3 garments, which matters for anyone working around the rail network.
That combination makes the jacket a solid choice for road and construction workers, drivers and tradespeople who are outdoors all year and need reliable visibility alongside weather protection.
