This hi-vis rain jacket from Blaklader is built for anyone working outdoors in poor weather who also needs to stay visible. It suits tradespeople, groundworkers, road and construction crews, and fishermen alike, offering a lighter, more flexible alternative to bulky traditional rainwear.
The outer fabric is 100% polyester with a PU coating, weighing in at 185 g/m². That keeps the jacket light and easy to move in rather than stiff or heavy. The seams are taped, so water stays out even at the stitching lines. A concealed two-way zip runs all the way up to the storm flap at the collar and opens from either end, the cuffs adjust with hook-and-loop fastening, and the detachable hood is designed to fit over a helmet. A popper-fastened drip edge at the hem, with drainage at the back, keeps rainwater running off rather than pooling.
The jacket is certified to EN 343, the standard for protective clothing against bad weather, and to EN ISO 20471 class 3, the highest class for high-visibility garments. In practical terms, that means reliable protection against wind and rain combined with strong visibility on roads and building sites, reinforced by wide reflective strips. It's available in five hi-vis colour combinations and sizes from XS to 4XL, making it easy to find the right fit for most jobs.
