This multi-norm jacket is cut specifically for women and designed for anyone facing several hazards at once on construction sites, in electrical work or road building. Instead of a topical treatment, Blaklader relies on inherent flame resistance, meaning the protection is built into the fibre itself and does not wash out over time. The extended back and adjustable hem with hook-and-loop fastening keep the jacket in place during movement without restricting it.
The ripstop fabric, made from modacrylic, cotton, FR polyamide and aramid, is built for tear resistance and holds up to rough site conditions. Its oil, dirt and water repellent surface makes the jacket noticeably easier to keep clean than untreated fabrics during everyday work. Details such as the double chest pockets with concealed zippers, the loops for a gas detector or microphone, and the high collar with zip closure show that the jacket has been designed with professionals carrying extra equipment in mind. All fasteners and buttons are metal-free.
The certifications cover a wide range of hazards: EN ISO 11612 protects against heat and flame, EN ISO 11611 against welding hazards, EN 13034 against limited contact with chemicals, and EN 1149-5 dissipates electrostatic charge.
