This winter overall from Blaklader is built for anyone working outdoors through cold, wind and wet conditions, whether on construction sites, in landscaping or on rooftops. A particularly clever detail is the bellows panel at the back, which stops a gap opening up when you bend forward, keeping cold draughts out. The stretch panel at the back adds extra freedom of movement, which makes a real difference when you're constantly changing position on the job.
The outer shell is coated Oxford polyester that's waterproof to 15,000 mm and windproof, while a Ret value of 8.5 still lets moisture escape from inside. Welded seams and waterproof zippers on the pockets keep water from getting in at the vulnerable points. Inside, the quilted lining provides warmth, and a fleece-lined collar plus inner cuffs with a thumbhole add extra comfort during winter wear. Underarm ventilation can be opened up if things get too warm during physical work.
The overall meets EN 343, giving proven protection against both rain penetration from outside and water vapour build-up from inside – useful for anyone working in rain or snow who still needs to stay dry. It also meets EN 342 for protection against cold, relevant for outdoor work in winter conditions. Combined with separately available knee pads, the overall additionally meets EN 14404-3, providing certified knee protection for kneeling tasks.
Everyday practicality comes from the numerous pockets, including a ruler pocket with a knife holder, internal knee pad pockets, and pre-fitted attachment points for detachable CORDURA® tool pouches. Reflective details on the front, sleeves, hood and legs improve visibility in poor light, a real benefit for tradespeople, roofers and anyone working outdoors during winter dusk or darkness.
