The Blaklader Inhärent overall is a multi-certified bib overall built for anyone whose job involves heat, flames or electrical hazards. It is aimed at tradespeople and electricians who need reliable protection from head to toe without giving up freedom of movement or everyday comfort. The generous multifunctional pockets, the internally adjustable waist and the metal-free construction with plastic buttons and a concealed two-way zipper all point to a garment designed to be worn comfortably underneath other protective gear.
The fabric blend of modacrylic, cotton, FR polyamide, aramid and an antistatic fibre is woven in a ripstop structure and comes in at 260 g/m², giving the overall a soft feel without sacrificing toughness. Its water- and dirt-repellent surface keeps it looking presentable even on dusty jobs, and because the protective properties are inherent to the fibres themselves rather than a surface coating, they hold up over repeated washing. The overall is tested for industrial laundering to EN ISO 15797 and, depending on the certification in question, can withstand up to 50 wash cycles, making it a practical choice for regular professional use.
On the protection side, the overall covers a wide range of hazards: EN ISO 11612 confirms protection against heat and flame, EN ISO 11611 certifies suitability for welding work, EN 61482-2 addresses protection against the thermal effects of an electric arc, and EN 13034 provides limited protection against certain chemicals. The antistatic treatment to EN 1149-5 helps prevent the build-up of dangerous static charges, which matters in particular in potentially explosive environments. Reflective bands placed at selected points further improve visibility in poor lighting conditions.
This combination of flame resistance, arc-flash protection, welding protection and antistatic performance makes the overall well suited to electricians, welders and industrial workers who move between different hazard zones and need one dependable garment to see them through the whole shift.
