The TYKA is a disposable hood made from Tyvek® 500, designed for anyone who needs reliable protection for the head, hair and neck against contamination. The large attached collar extends coverage down to the shoulder area, so no gaps appear when bending or working overhead. This makes the hood a practical choice for cleanrooms, industrial settings, laboratories and any workplace where single-use protective wear is part of the daily routine.
Made from polyethylene spunbond nonwoven, the material is lightweight and breathable while still holding up well against everyday wear and tear. The antistatic finish prevents the build-up of static charge, which matters in sensitive environments such as electronics manufacturing or areas with explosion risk. Inner seams keep stitching from rubbing against the skin and help stop particles escaping through the seam lines, while the elasticated neck and face openings give a snug fit that stays in place during movement.
The hood is certified to EN 14126, the standard for protective clothing against infective agents. In practice, this means the material provides a tested barrier against biological hazards such as germs, viruses or contaminated fluids, making it suitable for settings where hygiene and contamination control are essential, including healthcare, pharmaceutical production and food processing.
