The TFSC apron from the Tychem 6000 range is a disposable protective apron designed for tasks where clothing and skin need protection from contact with biological hazards. It comes in a calf-length cut and one-size fit, making it quick to put on over existing workwear or protective clothing. Ties at the neck and waist allow the fit to be adjusted individually without any extra accessories.
The material is a polyethylene spunbond fabric with barrier film, forming a tight barrier against liquids and particles while remaining pleasantly lightweight. The antistatic treatment reduces static build-up during wear, which is particularly useful in environments with sensitive equipment or combustible dust. As a single-use product, the apron is disposed of after use and requires no care or maintenance.
The apron is tested to EN 14126, the standard for protective clothing against infective agents. This means the material provides a barrier against pathogens, making the apron suitable for any work involving biologically contaminated substances or liquids. As Category III, Type 3B PPE, it is designed to guard against serious hazards and covers more demanding protection requirements.
The apron is suited to tasks in cleaning, waste disposal, animal husbandry, and laboratory or clinical settings, wherever contact with potentially infectious materials is possible. It is supplied as bulk goods with a minimum order of 25 pieces, making it practical for regular operational demand.
