The TOKFF is a disposable protective coverall from DuPont's Tychem 6000 range, built for anyone who may come into contact with liquids, spray or biologically contaminated substances at work. The attached hood, elasticated cuffs, ankles, hood and back, together with the thumb loops, keep the suit close to the body and prevent gaps from opening up during movement.
The fabric is a polyethylene spunbond material with a barrier film, and the seams are taped rather than simply stitched, which keeps the whole garment sealed at the points most likely to fail. The self-adhesive double zipper and chin flap close off exactly the areas where breakthrough is most likely, and the antistatic finish means the suit can also be worn in environments where electrostatic build-up is a concern.
The coverall is tested to EN 14126, the standard covering protection against infective agents, and meets PSA Category III as Type 3B, 4B, 5B and 6B. In practice this means protection against liquid jets, spray mist, fine particles and light liquid splashes, each with biological protection included. This makes the TOKFF suitable for cleaning and disinfection work, medical and laboratory settings, waste handling, and other tasks involving contaminated materials.
