The Alpha softshell jacket is built for anyone working outdoors in wind and rain who still wants full freedom of movement. Its 3-layer laminate makes it windproof and waterproof without feeling stiff or heavy, and with sizes ranging from XS to 4XL, almost everyone will find the right fit.
The polyester outer fabric with an elastane share provides stretch exactly where it's needed, while the hem and cuffs are reinforced with tough Oxford fabric at the points that see the most wear during a working day. Inside, a fleece lining keeps things comfortable even when temperatures drop. The careful interior finishing and the waterproof zips show up in the details: nothing chafes, and nothing lets water in where it shouldn't.
Beyond the fabric, the jacket is thought through in practical terms too. The collar can be adjusted, as can the hem and cuffs, so the jacket sits close in windy conditions yet still moves with you. A chin guard at the end of the main zip stops it from pinching when you zip up. With one chest pocket, two further zipped pockets on the chest, two hip pockets and several inside pockets, there's plenty of room for tools, a phone and paperwork. A reflective piping at the front adds extra visibility in low light.
