This welding jacket from Blaklader is built for tradespeople and welders who need workwear that keeps pace with hazardous tasks on site. Reflective and high-vis details improve visibility on construction sites and in industrial settings, while pre-shaped sleeves and an extended back give freedom of movement during overhead work. Adjustable sleeve cuffs with hook-and-loop fastening let you fine-tune the fit around gloves and different working conditions.
The outer fabric is a blend of 79% cotton, 20% polyester and 1% antistatic fibre, with a fabric weight of 390 g/m². That combination results in a sturdy yet wearable material that also repels water and dirt, so it holds up well in messy industrial environments. Since the jacket is unlined, it works best as a standalone protective layer or paired with additional clothing underneath. Approval for industrial laundering at 60°C under EN ISO 15797 makes it practical for companies running their own laundry processes.
Protection on this jacket runs deep: EN ISO 11611 confirms protection for welding and related processes, EN ISO 11612 covers protection against heat and flame, and EN 13034 provides protection against contact with certain liquid chemicals. Antistatic properties under EN 1149 reduce the risk of electrostatic build-up, while IEC 61482-2 qualifies the jacket for protection against the thermal hazards of electric arc exposure.
