This multi-norm work trouser from Blaklader is cut specifically for women and designed for anyone facing several workplace hazards at once, such as tradespeople or technical service staff. Rather than covering just one type of protection, it combines multiple certified functions in a single garment while still offering a comfortable, female-specific fit for everyday wear.
The outer fabric is a blend of cotton, polyester and a small antistatic component woven in a twill structure, giving the trousers both durability and a reasonable level of comfort. At 350 g/m², the fabric is sturdy enough for demanding work without feeling stiff or heavy. Reinforced knee pad pockets made from Cordura®/Kevlar®/Protal® add extra resistance for kneeling work, while darker fabric sections in dirt-prone areas help the trousers stay presentable for longer. The surface is treated to repel water and dirt, which reduces daily upkeep, and the trousers are also tested for industrial laundering to EN ISO 15797.
The protective scope of these trousers is extensive. They are certified to EN ISO 20471 Class 1 as high-visibility clothing, improving visibility around vehicle traffic or in low-light conditions. EN ISO 11612 provides protection against heat and flames, while EN ISO 11611 covers risks associated with welding and related processes. Certification to EN 13034 means protection against splashes of liquid chemicals, and EN 1149-5 indicates antistatic properties relevant in explosion-risk environments. The trousers are also rated to IEC 61482-2 for arc flash protection, with an ATPV value of 11.0 cal/cm².
