The Hi-Vis Contrast 2-in-1 Pilot Jacket Essential is a versatile hi-vis workwear piece built for outdoor work in cold, wet conditions. Thanks to its detachable sleeves, it converts between a bodywarmer and a full jacket, making it adaptable across seasons and tasks. Two roomy side pockets, a Velcro-fastened inner chest pocket and a stowaway hood add to its practical, everyday functionality.
The fabric is treated with the PFAS-free Texpel Splash Eco finish, so water beads off the surface rather than soaking in, and taped seams keep the jacket watertight in sustained rain. Inside, a heavy fleece lining, a fleece-lined collar and an inner knitted cuff keep the wearer warm even in low temperatures, while the dark contrast panels help disguise dirt and everyday wear.
Certified to EN342, the jacket delivers cold protection down to -36°C, making it suitable for genuinely harsh winter conditions. Reflective tape improves visibility in low light, and the 40+ UPF rated fabric blocks 98% of UV rays for added protection outdoors. CE certified and UKCA marked, the orange version also meets RIS 3279-TOM for use in the rail industry.
