This overshirt is designed for women working as electricians or in skilled trades where hazardous environments demand reliable protective wear. It combines the traditional shape of an industrial jacket with the cut of a modern shirt, offering generous storage: the covered chest pockets hold a mobile phone and notepad, while an external loop on the left holds a pen or glasses, and loops above each pocket accommodate an oximeter, microphone or gas detector. Adjustable cuffs and an extended back hem add comfort throughout the working day.
The fabric blend of modacrylic, cotton, FR polyamide and aramid with antistatic fibres creates a soft, supple quality that feels comfortable against the skin while remaining hard-wearing. The ripstop weave is water- and dirt-repellent, which keeps everyday care simple, and the shirt is entirely metal-free, fitted with plastic snap buttons and a concealed two-way plastic zipper. Reflective details applied to the shoulders, back and lower sleeves improve visibility in low-light conditions.
Because the flame resistance is inherent to the fibres themselves, it lasts for the lifetime of the garment. EN ISO 11612 certifies protection against heat and flame, while EN 61482-2 covers the thermal hazards of an electric arc, relevant when working on live electrical installations. EN 13034 provides limited protection against liquid chemicals, and EN 1149-5 confirms the antistatic properties that help reduce electrostatic charge on the wearer. EN ISO 11611 is aimed at welding work, protecting against sparks and brief contact with flames. The shirt is also approved for industrial laundering under EN ISO 15797, withstanding up to 50 wash cycles, making it suitable for regular use in commercial laundry facilities.
