This women's winter jacket from Blaklader is designed for anyone who needs to stay visible outdoors in cold, wet weather, including tradeswomen, drivers, and road and construction workers. The women's fit is roomy and comfortable, yet fully adjustable at the hem, cuffs and hood, leaving enough room to layer up underneath without feeling bulky. The hood is detachable and shaped to fit over a helmet or ear defenders.
The outer fabric is a coated polyester Oxford weave that stays reliably dry thanks to a 15,000 mm water column rating and taped seams that keep moisture out even in heavy rain. At the same time, the fabric is breathable, letting inner moisture escape instead of building up inside the quilted lining. That warm lining keeps the cold at bay, while mesh panels at the underarms and shoulder blades add extra ventilation when the work gets physical. Practical details such as the fleece-lined collar, inner cuffs with thumbholes, and a generous set of pockets, including a Napoleon pocket, a chest pocket with D-ring, and a pen pocket on the sleeve, round out the jacket for everyday use on site.
The jacket meets EN ISO 20471 Class 1, giving a baseline level of visibility in traffic and around vehicles on site, backed up by wide reflective tape across the body, sleeves and shoulders plus a reflective print on the back of the hood. It's also tested to EN 343 for wind and rain protection, and, together with garment 1875, certified to EN 342 for protection against cold.
