This shell jacket is built for women working in roles with multiple hazards at once, from tradeswomen to road and construction crews and service technicians who need protection against wind, rain, flame and arc flash without being weighed down by it. Despite covering so many risks, it is cut thin and highly flexible, so it wears like an everyday jacket rather than a bulky safety garment.
The outer fabric is a blend of viscose and modacrylic with an antistatic component, coated and rated waterproof to 16,000 mm, while still being windproof and breathable enough to stay comfortable during active work. Taped seams keep moisture out for good, and because the fabric is entirely metal-free, the jacket also suits environments where metal components pose a hazard. Dark panels placed in dirt-prone areas, together with a water- and dirt-repellent finish, help the jacket stay presentable even under heavy daily use.
The jacket is inherently flame-resistant and certified to several standards: EN ISO 11612 and EN ISO 11611 protect against heat, flame and welding hazards, EN 13034 guards against certain chemical splashes, EN 1149-5 dissipates static electricity, and IEC 61482-2 confirms arc-flash protection with an ATPV rating of 21 cal/cm² and an ELIM rating of 19 cal/cm². Under EN ISO 20471 it also delivers high-visibility protection at class 2 or class 3 depending on the size chosen, keeping the wearer visible in low-light conditions, while EN 343 adds reliable protection against wind and rain.
Thoughtful details round out the design, including loops on both sides of the chest for attaching gas detectors, oxygen meters or microphones, a helmet-compatible adjustable hood, a Napoleon pocket sized for a small tablet, and several pockets with an ID holder. The style is also available as a men's version, model 4088.
