This multi-norm sweatshirt jacket from Blaklader is built for women working in roles where heat, arc flash or static electricity present a real risk. It suits electricians, road and construction workers and service staff who need dependable protection without giving up freedom of movement on the job. A men's version (3462) is also available, making it easy to equip mixed teams with matching protective gear.
The fabric blends FR polyester, modacrylic, cotton and an antistatic fibre, and its flame resistance is inherent, meaning the protection is built into the fibre itself rather than a coating that wears off over time. The brushed inside of the knitted sweatshirt fabric feels soft against the skin, while darker colour panels in areas prone to dirt keep the jacket looking presentable even after a shift on site. A concealed, reinforced plastic zip and fully metal-free construction make this jacket a practical choice for environments where metal components aren't allowed, such as near arc flash hazards.
The jacket carries several certifications: EN 61482-2 confirms protection against the effects of an electric arc, EN 1149-5 covers antistatic performance that helps discharge static build-up, and EN ISO 11612 addresses protection against heat and flame. Under EN ISO 20471 it meets visibility class 2 in sizes XS to M and class 3 from size L upward, thanks to segmented reflective tape that keeps the wearer visible in changing light conditions.
