This sweatshirt jacket from Blaklader is cut specifically for women and designed for tradeswomen, electricians, mechanics and service technicians who need to stay visible on site while being protected against heat and flames. Thanks to the concealed zip and side panels, it can be worn either as a sweatshirt layered under other clothing or as a standalone jacket, making it a genuinely versatile piece for daily work.
The fabric blends modacrylic, cotton and a small share of antistatic fibre, brushed on the inside for a soft feel against the skin. At 280 g/m², the terry knit offers noticeable durability without feeling bulky, and the metal-free, flame-resistant finish is built into the fabric itself rather than applied as a coating. The high collar can be turned up for extra protection around the neck, while the ergonomically shaped side panels give freedom of movement throughout the working day.
On the protection side, the jacket meets several standards at once: EN ISO 11612 confirms protection against heat and flame, EN 61482-2 covers protection against the thermal effects of an electric arc, and EN 1149-5 provides antistatic properties that help reduce static build-up on the body. The EN ISO 20471 class 2 rating means good visibility in daylight and low-light conditions, reinforced by the segmented reflective transfer stripes.
