The Ridge Composite Safety Shoe S3S ESD SR FO is built for anyone who needs a secure fit that goes on and off fast without compromising on protection. The standout feature is its wire lacing system: instead of traditional laces, a quick-release mechanism lets you tighten or loosen the shoe in seconds, which makes a real difference if you're putting it on and taking it off several times a day.
Both the toe cap and the midsole are made from composite material rather than metal. In practice that means a lighter shoe than a comparable steel-toe version, and because it's non-magnetic and free of nickel and iron, it also works in settings where metal components would cause problems. The water-repellent upper keeps moisture out, while the well-padded comfort footbed and cushioned collar keep feet comfortable through long shifts, and a rear pull tab makes it easier to step into.
As an S3S-rated shoe, it protects against penetration through the composite midsole and against impact through the toe cap, and it comes with a slip-resistant (SR) outsole that also resists fuel and oil (FO) and withstands heat. Its ESD properties and antistatic build make it suitable for environments where static discharge needs to be controlled, such as electronics assembly or explosion-prone areas. An energy-absorbing heel area and a dual-density sole round out the protection. The shoe is CE certified and available in sizes 35 to 48.
