The Portwest Compositelite Indiana Rigger is a safety boot for anyone who needs full protection without any metal components. Built as a pull-on rigger boot, it offers quick, secure footing on building sites, in industrial settings or on the road, and the side pull tabs make it easy to put on and take off. The design is clearly geared towards warm working conditions, as the boot is unlined and therefore notably lightweight.
The upper is made from full grain leather, which holds up well to daily wear and moulds to the foot over time. A lightweight, PU-padded midsole keeps comfort levels high through long shifts, while the dual density outsole adds stability without piling on extra weight.
The protective package includes a glass fibre composite toe cap and a composite anti-penetration midsole, both entirely metal-free and therefore non-magnetic, nickel- and iron-free. The outsole is heat-resistant up to 300°C and also resists fuel and oil while staying slip-resistant, making the boot well suited to environments with hot surfaces or oily floors. An energy-absorbing heel area and antistatic properties round out the protection, and the boot is CE certified to S3.
This makes the Indiana Rigger a strong fit for workers in oil and gas, electrical trades, construction and workshop environments, wherever metal-free protective footwear is required alongside resistance to heat or slippery surfaces.
