The Hekla protective coverall from Feldtmann is a disposable chemical protection suit designed for anyone who needs reliable full-body protection against particles, splashes or environments with static build-up. Classified as PSA category 3, it is built for tasks involving serious hazards and comes in sizes M to 4XL, covering most body types.
The suit is made from three-layer polypropylene nonwoven fabric (SMS) with a flame-retardant finish. This material is light and breathable, so it stays comfortable to wear over longer periods without trapping heat. A three-piece hood with elastic drawstring, elasticated cuffs at the arms and legs, and an elasticated waist keep the suit in place during movement, while the two-way zip with storm flap allows quick dressing and adds an extra seal against the elements.
On the protection side, the Hekla meets several standards: it is particle-tight to EN ISO 13982-1 (Type 5) and offers limited splash protection to EN 13034 (Type 6), shielding the wearer from fine dust and liquid splashes. EN 1073-2 certifies protection against contamination from radioactive particles, and EN 1149-5 confirms its antistatic properties, dissipating electrostatic charge. The EN ISO 14116 Index 1 rating means the suit is flame-retardant and adds protection on top of flame-resistant clothing worn underneath – it must never be worn directly on the skin and always over a suit rated Index 2 or 3.
The Hekla suits industrial, trade and laboratory work where contact with particles, splashes or static charge is a risk, such as cleaning operations, remediation work or handling contaminated materials. It comes individually packed with a euro-slot hole, supplied in packs of 25, making it a practical choice for regular commercial use.
