The PLANAM Jacket 1-layer Major Protect is a protective jacket designed for anyone who faces flying sparks, heat or chemical exposure on the job. With a button front opening, two chest pockets and two front pockets, all fitted with flaps and press-stud closures, it is built for practical daily use on site or in the workshop and comes in 18 sizes ranging from 42 to 110.
The fabric is a blend of 64% cotton, 35% polyester and 1% carbon fibres, woven in a 2/2 diagonal twill with a weight of around 370 g/m². This combination results in a sturdy yet comfortable material that holds up to demanding work while remaining pleasant to wear over longer shifts. The carbon fibre content also gives the fabric its anti-static properties.
For use in hazardous environments, the fabric is flame-retardant and additionally finished with fluorocarbon, which helps liquids such as sweat or splashes bead off the surface rather than soak in. Combined with the anti-static finish, the jacket is well suited to workplaces where both electrostatic build-up and heat exposure need to be kept under control.
This makes the Major Protect jacket a strong fit for work in the metal trade, electrical and building services installation, municipal road construction, and environments involving chemicals or oil, wherever heat and welding protection matter.
