The FLSJA52 multi-norm softshell jacket from the Mauser product line is built for professionals who face thermal hazards from electric arc flash on the job and still expect genuine wearing comfort. A concealed front placket with a 2-way zip, two zipped patch pockets on the sides and a Napoleon chest pocket beneath the placket provide practical storage without breaking up the protective outer surface of the jacket.
The fabric is made from 55% modacrylic, 44% cotton and a share of antistatic fibre. This blend combines the protective qualities of modacrylic with the comfortable feel of cotton, while the antistatic fibre helps dissipate electrostatic charge. Ergonomically shaped sleeves with elasticated cuffs and an extended back panel keep the jacket in place and allow free movement when bending or reaching, exactly what is needed from workwear worn through a full shift.
Tested to IEC 61482, the jacket protects against the thermal effects of an electric arc, the kind of hazard that can occur when working on or near live electrical equipment. Classified as PPE Category III, Type 6B, it is designed for use in higher-risk environments and suits electricians and anyone working where arc flash exposure is a concern. Available in yellow/black and in nine sizes from XXS to 4XL, it can be matched precisely to teams of different builds.
