The Hampus multi-norm work trousers are built for people facing several hazards on the job at once, such as electricians, welders, road workers or anyone on construction sites with traffic exposure. Instead of needing several specialist garments, this single pair of trousers combines high-visibility, weather, flame and further protection, clearly identifiable from the outside by the multi-norm emblem on the left leg pocket.
The multi-layer outer fabric, made from polyester with a carbon content, is tough, abrasion-resistant and tear-resistant, and welded seams add extra sealing against the elements. Inside, a modacrylic and cotton lining keeps the trousers comfortable to wear over long shifts. The fabric is windproof and waterproof while remaining breathable, letting moisture escape from inside without letting rain in from outside. Adjustable, detachable braces, a part-elastic waistband and adjustable leg openings with hook-and-loop tabs let the fit be adapted to the wearer and the task at hand, while the zip in the outer leg seam makes it easy to put the trousers on and take them off, even over safety boots.
On the protection side, the trousers cover a wide range of hazards. They are flame-resistant to EN ISO 11611 and EN ISO 11612, protecting against welding work and thermal hazards such as flames, contact heat and radiant heat. IEC 61482-2 certifies protection against the thermal effects of an electric arc, while EN 1149-5 provides antistatic properties. Protection against liquid chemicals is certified to EN 13034-6, and visibility in daylight and low light is ensured by the high-visibility class under EN ISO 20471, supported by LOXY® reflective material. EN 343 adds certified protection against rain and cold.
With two side pockets, a thigh pocket and a rear pocket, all fitted with flaps, the trousers offer plenty of storage for tools and personal items during daily work. Available in sizes 46 to 64, they are particularly suited to fields with mixed hazards such as utilities, industrial services or roadside emergency response.
