The Aaro multi-norm parka is a winter jacket built for jobs where several hazards overlap at once, from harsh weather and poor visibility to heat, electricity and chemical exposure. That makes it a practical choice for professionals in power supply, industry and road construction who need one jacket to cover shifting risks rather than layering several protective garments. The high-visibility fluorescent orange/navy colourway also keeps wearers easily seen on roadsides and construction sites.
The multi-layer outer fabric, made from polyester with a carbon content, is abrasion and tear resistant, so it holds up well under demanding daily use. Welded seams make the parka windproof and waterproof, while the modacrylic and cotton inner layer plus the cotton lining keep it comfortable to wear. With a water column of 10,000 mm and breathability of 5,000 g/m²/24h, it keeps moisture out during wet or extended work without trapping heat inside. Adjustable cuff tabs, an adjustable hem and a stowable, cord-adjustable hood let wearers fine-tune fit and freedom of movement as conditions change.
The range of certifications shows just how broad the protection built into this parka is. As high-visibility workwear to EN ISO 20471 Class 3, it maximises visibility, while EN 343 Class 3/2/X covers protection against rain and water vapour resistance. Certification to EN ISO 11611 and EN ISO 11612 confirms flame-resistant properties and protection for welding work as well as thermal hazards, and EN 61482-2 adds protection against the thermal effects of an electric arc. EN 1149-5 provides antistatic properties, EN 13034 Type 6 protects against limited contact with liquid chemicals, and EN ISO 13688 sets out the general requirements for protective clothing.
With seven pockets, including a chest zip pocket, breast, hip and inner pockets, the parka offers plenty of storage for tools and personal items. It can also be combined with the separately available inner jacket (item no. 23476), turning it into a layered system for different seasons.
