The Toivo multi-norm parka is built for anyone facing several hazards on the job at once: bad weather, heat, flames, chemicals and electric arc flashes. Rather than layering up separate garments for each risk, this parka combines a wide range of certifications in a single jacket, making it a practical choice for work where these dangers overlap rather than appear one at a time.
The multi-layer outer fabric, made from polyester with a carbon fibre content, resists abrasion and tearing, so it holds up well on construction sites and in industrial settings. Welded seams keep the jacket genuinely waterproof at a hydrostatic head of 10,000 mm, while a breathability rating of 5,000 g/m²/24h stops heat and moisture building up underneath. The inner lining of modacrylic and cotton feels comfortable against the skin, the hood can be packed away or adjusted to fit with elastic cords, and both the cuffs and hem can be adjusted for a snug fit. Concealed zips, buttons and hook-and-loop fastenings keep the surface snag-free and scratch-resistant.
The long list of standards reflects just how broad this protection is. EN ISO 20471 Class 3 provides maximum visibility, EN 343 covers protection against wind and rain, and EN ISO 11611 together with EN ISO 11612 confirm flame resistance suitable for welding work as well as general protection against heat and flames. EN 1149-5 gives the garment antistatic properties, EN 13034 protects against contact with liquid chemicals, and EN 61482-2 confirms protection against the thermal hazards of an electric arc. The multi-norm badges on the upper arm make these protective functions visible at a glance.
With this combination of standards, the Toivo suits electricians, welders, road construction workers and anyone working outdoors or in hazardous environments with changing weather and safety demands. A concealed zip allows the separately available inner jacket 23476 to be zipped in, keeping the parka ready for colder conditions too.
