The RT43 is a hi-vis bib and brace overall designed for people working under heavy strain on tracks or construction sites who also need to stay visible. It has become a favourite in the rail and railway industry, combining generous storage, freedom of movement and reliable visibility in one garment.
The durable polycotton fabric carries a Texpel finish that repels dirt and water rather than letting it soak in, keeping the trousers cleaner for longer on messy jobs and cutting down on maintenance. Double stitching lets the fabric take sustained mechanical stress, while the elasticated back panel and adjustable side opening give the flexibility needed for kneeling or bending work. Adjustable buckle straps let you fine-tune the fit to your body, helping the trousers stay comfortable through a full shift.
The fabric is certified to EN ISO 20471, including after 50 wash cycles, so the high-visibility performance holds up over the working life of the garment – a real plus for companies with regular laundering schedules. In orange, the RT43 also meets RIS 3279-TOM, a specification for hi-vis workwear used in the UK rail network. On top of that, the fabric carries a UPF 40+ rating, blocking a large share of UV radiation, which matters for anyone spending long hours outdoors.
